DECLOS - A Digital Departure Clearance System |

DECLOS is a tool that has been created to automatically clear departing
aircraft via data link. It uses ACARS to communicate with the ground
system and fully automatically issues departure clearances without
the need for controller intervention. This means that it significantly
reduces the congestion of ATC tower frequencies as well as controller
workloads. The implementation of Digital Departure Clearance (DCL) ensures that any potential misunderstandings between controller and pilot over VHF radio are eliminated. Therefore, it will enable ATC to provide a safer and more efficient service to its customers.
DECLOS can be seamless integrated into the AviBit Digital Flight Strip System DIFLIS and thereby reduce the controller's workload and increase the overall safety level.
