AviBit introduces its ACC / Tower Information System InfoMax

AviBit - a supplier for tower automation tools - introduces its ACC / Tower Insormation System InfoMax.

After one year of software development AviBit has officially released the information system InfoMax which will be installed at Tallinn Airport in 2010. Dr. Konrad Koeck, CEO of AviBit highlights the key features of the system:

• It incorporates numerous information which is usually shown on many different systems like: Wind, actual ATIS, METAR, RVR, other meteorological data like METEOSAT or weather radar images, current date / time, live video from one or multiple video cameras, airport charts, navaids status, message boxes, runway in use.

• All information is available on a harmonized HMI on one or multiple screens

• The information is organized in pages which can be configured according to the controller's needs

• Pages to control the lighting system can be integrated

• Fully redundant system

• Available for Windows ™ and Unix platforms

Various ways to communicate with external systems are possible, like TCP/IP, UDP, serial lines, etc. and commonly used standards (e.g. Asterix, XML) are used as far as possible. Interfaces to external sensors/systems using proprietary data formats can be easily added.

During 2010 the system will be installed at Tallinn Airport, fully integrated with the AviBit Electronic Flight Strips and A-SMGCS.
