AviBit to provide A-SMGCS Data Fusion for Porto Airport

Graz, Austria - April 27, 2009:

NAV Portugal - the Air Navigation Service Provider of Portugal - has awarded a contract to AviBit to provide its A-SMGCS system for Porto Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport. The AviBit delivery will include tracking, data-fusion, recording & replay, safety logic, and monitoring and control.

ACEMAX - the second AviBit A-SMGCS Installation in Portugal

ACEMAX - the AviBit A-SMGCS COTS product - will be the heart of the installation at Porto Airport. Its open interfaces and the good experience NAV Portugal has made with the system in Lisbon were one of the key facts for NAV to select the AviBit product.

The system's open interfaces are based on ASTERIX / Eurocontrol standards and NAV will use its own developed HMI for the controller working positions. The AviBit delivery will include all A-SMGCS level 2 functionality.
